Five fabulous kayaking tours among the Åland Islands

During our five day stay we will experience some of the finest paddling tours Åland has to offer. All locations on mainland Åland are accessible from Mariehamn.

We will arrange our daily tours depending on the prevailing weather conditions. We will seek shelter if the winds blow up and proceed to the outer islands when the weather is favorable again. You can choose your own accommodation as Mariehamn offers everything from camping sites to high quality hotels.

Here is a sample of the tours on offer during the week:
Kobba Klintar
An old pilot station at the edge of the open sea. Tour approximately 15-20 kilometres.
Vårdö
A tour with a range of route possibilities in a part of the archipelago which provides shelter from the wind. 20-25 kilometres.
Rödhamn
A tour of the inner archipelago. 25-30 kilometres.
Sältingskär
A skerry bordering on the outer archipelago. An old fishing encampment. We can conclude the tour at Föglö and take the ferry back to the mainland.

If the weather permits the following gems are on offer in the outer archipelago:
Sälskär lighthouse 25-30 kilometres, Väderskär 18-23 kilometres.

Every tour leader is a native of the Åland islands and a qualified Nordic kayaking instructor.
